Cuando Belle & Sebastian sacó el EP "Books" en el 2004, además de darnos un gran material, nos dio de regalo un juego para computadora: Wrapped Up In Books The Game
Wrapped Up In Books en una canción que Belle & Sebastian aprovechó para crear un juego interactivo.
La música del juego es la versión instrumental del sencillo Wrapped Up In Books.
Las instrucciones del juego son sencillas.
En cada nivel se deben formar filas de 3 o más libros del mismo color. Robert, es pequeño gusano, es el encargado de empujar los libros, utilizar las bombas, o bien comerse los libros en blanco (lectura ligera). Son 20 niveles en total.
Robert también puede comer libros especiales para ganar puntos extra.
En caso de que no se pueda seguir el nivel, Robert tendrá que cometer suicidio y volver a empezar.
Los enemigos de Robert son su malvado medio hermano Frederick (un gusano rojo y escurridizo) y algunos libros que estallan con sólo acercarse a ellos.
Si Robert muere tres veces, el juego termina.
Al final podrán subir sus datos y puntuación, así como suscribirse al mail de Belle & Sebastian.
Si les llega a cansar la música de fondo, tienen la opción de jugar en silencio siempre y cuando prometan comprar el sencillo ;)
Así que vayan a conseguir "Books" y no duden jugar "Wrapped Up..."
Buena opción para divertirse y devorar libros al mismo tiempo :)

With more shows being added all the time, we thought it timely to offer an update on this year's touring calendar. It's beginning to look like a pretty busy year and we still have more shows up our sleeve...
For various reasons we cannot announce all the shows at the one time, but (all going to plan) in addition to these listed below we will be squeezing in shows in Canada, Mexico and the USA as well as a trip to South America between now and the end of the year.* Of course we will also have some more European festivals and a few UK shows to announce later in the year too - so keep checking in.

The other news this week is the release of the third God Help The Girl single 'Baby You're Blind'. It was written by Stuart and recorded last year featuring the vocals of Linnea Jonsson of Those Dancing Days, and is released as a 7 inch and download. The vinyl is available in some of the better record shops, or can be bought, along with the download from HERE . The song, it's b-side (a new version of 'A Down and Dusky Blonde' sung by Dina Bankole) and the video can be downloaded as a digital package for just £1.

Hoy me encontré en dos páginas de internet que Belle & Sebastian ya han confirmado las fechas para sus presentaciones en México.
Según la revista Marvin, las fechas serán:
07 de Octubre, Guadalajara en el Teatro Estudio Cavaret
09 de Octubre, Ciudad de México, el lugar está por confirmarse
Según la página del 'Sopitas', el evento en la Ciudad de México será parte de un festival que organiza Ache Producciones (los que trajeron a los Arctic Monkeys y a los que nunca les perdonaran su mala organización).
La página oficial del grupo no ha publicado las fechas aún, esperemos más noticias.

** La canción aparece en el sencillo The Fallen al lado de The Fallen, Jeremy Fraser y Sexy Boy. La canción se produjo en Marzo del 2006.
**Rita Toshingham es un actriz originaria de Liverpool. Nació el 14 de marzo de 1942 y ha participado en más de 60 películas y programas de televisión.
La primera película de Rita fue A Taste of Honey:
Ésta, la hizo en 1961 y la dirigió Tony Richardson, uno de los directores base del Free Cinema Inglés, gracias a su corto Momma Don't Allow de 1955.
**Saskia Pomeroy es L. Wells en el videoclip de Franz Ferdinand. Ella también aparece en Wine in the Afternoon. Saskia nació en Londrés en 1985 y se graduó en la Escuela de Artes de Glasgow. Parece que fue eleginda como el rostro oficial de Gasglow... or something like that. Uno de sus trabajos.

Las canciones son como pequeños cuentos musicalizados muy divertidos.
