Hoy haré la primera parte de una 'recopilación' de algunas de las presentaciones que se han hecho en el show de Jools Holland.
Jools Holland fue tecladista de la banda inglesa de los 70 'Squeeze', fundador de 'Jools and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra", presentador del programa de televisión 'Later With Jools Holland' (en donde se han presentado decenas de grupos musicales y cuyo primer programa fue el 9 de octubre de 1992), ha trabajado como compositor en algunas series y en el 2003 le fue otorgado el O.B.E. (Officer of the order of the British Empire) por sus servicios a la música.

Después de mucho tiempo pude ver en su idioma original la película de Wes Anderson "Fantastic Mr. Fox" y debo decir que me encantó, se las recomiendo sin dudar.
Una de las tantas cosas que me emocionaron cuando me enteré de que se iba a hacer, fue que Jarvis Cocker prestaría su voz para uno de los personajes, un tal Petey.
Pues bien, su personaje casi no tiene diálogos, pero tiene una canción llamada Petey's Song (La canción de Petey)

Now these three crazy jackies had our hero on the run. Shot the tail off the cuss with a fox-shootin' gun. But that stylish little fox was as clever as a whip Dug as quick as a gopher that was hyper-ack-a-tive.
Now those three farmers sit 'Twhere there's a hole 'twas once a hill. Singin' diddle-dee daddle-da doddle-do doodle-dum!

With more shows being added all the time, we thought it timely to offer an update on this year's touring calendar. It's beginning to look like a pretty busy year and we still have more shows up our sleeve...
For various reasons we cannot announce all the shows at the one time, but (all going to plan) in addition to these listed below we will be squeezing in shows in Canada, Mexico and the USA as well as a trip to South America between now and the end of the year.* Of course we will also have some more European festivals and a few UK shows to announce later in the year too - so keep checking in.

The other news this week is the release of the third God Help The Girl single 'Baby You're Blind'. It was written by Stuart and recorded last year featuring the vocals of Linnea Jonsson of Those Dancing Days, and is released as a 7 inch and download. The vinyl is available in some of the better record shops, or can be bought, along with the download from HERE . The song, it's b-side (a new version of 'A Down and Dusky Blonde' sung by Dina Bankole) and the video can be downloaded as a digital package for just £1.

Hoy me encontré en dos páginas de internet que Belle & Sebastian ya han confirmado las fechas para sus presentaciones en México.
Según la revista Marvin, las fechas serán:
07 de Octubre, Guadalajara en el Teatro Estudio Cavaret
09 de Octubre, Ciudad de México, el lugar está por confirmarse
Según la página del 'Sopitas', el evento en la Ciudad de México será parte de un festival que organiza Ache Producciones (los que trajeron a los Arctic Monkeys y a los que nunca les perdonaran su mala organización).
La página oficial del grupo no ha publicado las fechas aún, esperemos más noticias.
